Our violin program is one of the most prestigious areas of study within our school, built on a rigorous and carefully sequenced curriculum that produces measurable artistic growth. Students receive disciplined technical training beginning with proper posture, bow hold, and tone production, progressing into intonation accuracy, shifting, vibrato development, articulation, and advanced bow control. Strong music reading skills, rhythmic precision, and refined ear training are emphasized from the earliest stages of study.
As students advance, lessons focus on expressive phrasing, stylistic interpretation, and performance preparation. Serious students are strongly encouraged to pursue competitive auditions and high level performance opportunities, including appearances at Carnegie Hall and other distinguished recital venues. Repertoire spans classical masterworks, chamber music, and select contemporary works, ensuring both technical depth and artistic versatility.
